Is TinyNest safe? What its own pages say about privacy
Invite-only, no ads, and a screenshot lock per relative. No end-to-end claim, nothing said about what its AI does with the photos, and an App Store label listing identifiers used to track you and precise location linked to you.
Safe from strangers: yes — “Only people you invite can see your photos. No public profiles, no strangers”, with per-member permissions and a screenshot lock no other app here offers. Secure against the company: no claim; SSL in transit, Amazon S3 at rest, service providers with access for maintenance. Legit: Tiny Nest AI LLC of Sacramento, on the App Store since 2025 and Google Play since December 2025, with a privacy policy last updated January 2025.
Who can see the photos
The people you invite, who install the app and tap an invite link; each has permissions you set, including whether they can screenshot. There is no browser view.
What TinyNest says about security and AI
The privacy policy: “we secure its transmission using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology”, storage on “Amazon S3”, and “we cannot decrypt files that you encrypted before uploading them” — which describes your encryption, not theirs. Nothing on the site or in the policy says whether the photos are analysed by AI, though the company’s name and Pro’s “memory generation” suggest models are involved somewhere.
Ads, tracking and the label
“No noisy feeds, no strangers, no ads”, and photos “never used for ads”. The App Store label lists Identifiers as used to track you, and precise location, payment info and user ID linked to you — the only album here with precise location on its label.

Is TinyNest end-to-end encrypted?
It doesn’t claim to be. The privacy policy describes SSL for transmission and Amazon S3 for storage, and says service providers may access data for storage and maintenance.
Does TinyNest run AI on my photos?
The pages don’t say. The maker is Tiny Nest AI LLC and Pro includes ‘unlimited memory generation’, but neither the site nor the privacy policy states whether photos are analysed or used for face recognition.
Can relatives screenshot TinyNest photos?
Only if you allow it: each invited person has a ‘Can screenshot’ permission you can turn off, in which case ‘they get a blank image instead of your photo’, and every screenshot is logged.
