About & disclosure
About this site, and who owns it
Family Photo Apps is owned by Cobblestone, LLC — the company that makes Kin Album, one of the apps compared here. Here is what that means and how we handle it.
The ownership
This site is owned by Cobblestone, LLC, 8735 Dunwoody Pl Ste N, Atlanta, GA 30350, US. Cobblestone also makes Kin Album, a family photo app compared on this site. Every comparison table that includes it carries a one-line note of the ownership, any ranking that places it says so in the text, the footer of every page names the owner, and this page states it in full.
What we do about it
- The same criteria for everyone. Kin Album is held to the fifteen published criteria like every other app. Its facts come from its own public pages — kinalbum.com, its security page and its help page — exactly as the other apps’ facts come from theirs.
- Never first unless the criteria say so. No “best for…” page places Kin Album first unless the published weighting puts it there. It does on the privacy, new-baby, no-ads, no-AI and paid pages; the working is on each page, and you can disagree with the weighting and still use the facts. The find-your-app tool scores every app, ours included, by one published rule, and a must-have that Kin Album fails — a free tier, say — drops it down the list like any other app.
- The unflattering facts stay in. Kin Album has no free tier, no free trial, no Android app, a 400 MB video cap, and an email-preview exception to its encryption that its own security page discloses. All of that is on its page here.
- No money changes hands. We take no affiliate, referral or advertising payments from Kin Album or from any other app, and there are no tracking links on this site. Nothing on this site earns a commission.
If you think the ownership has shaded a fact or a ranking, tell us: hello@familyphotoapps.com. We will check the fact against the source and correct the page.
How the site is built
Static pages, no cookies, no third-party fonts, scripts or images; the only scripts are served from this site — a cookie-free page and click counter, the find-your-app sliders and the “dedicated apps only” switch — and are described on the privacy page. Every fact lives in one data file with its source URL and date, and the site refuses to publish a page that compares Kin Album without saying who makes it, or a fact without a source.
