What the money changes
The caps and the ads, which is most of what makes the free plan hard to live with: “a maximum of 20 photos and videos per month”, “5GB storage limit”, and “ads around your family’s journal” all go. Bulk export arrives, and one follower can be given the full features.
What the money doesn’t change
Photo resolution isn’t stated on either plan — the one row where “not stated” is the whole answer, and worth asking Tinybeans before its journal becomes the only copy. The privacy position is also unchanged: no end-to-end claim, and an App Store label listing Location, Contact Info, User Content, Identifiers and Usage Data as data that may be used to track you.

Parents who want the journal — dated entries, milestones, photo books — and will pay $74.99 a year to use it without rationing photos.
